Their eyes met over the strings of the violin and the pistons of the trumpet.

The music played on long after the concert was over.

When the child was born, the trumpeter was a mere memory.

The toddler picked up a Chinese made toy trumpet, and never let go.

He played a tribute to a great trumpeter who he didn’t know was his father.

Next to him, stood a young girl with a viola, love light in her eyes.

Later children danced in circles to a familiar tune.

The music played on.
